Buy one that is somewhat firm , not cushiony pillow top becuase it will hurt your back. I have a pillowtop right now and it is HELL. I get a new mattress in two weeks thanks gawd.

You won’t be pregnant forever, so don’t base this expensive decision soley on that. Get one that you (and your husband if you’re married) both feel comfortable in. Pregnancy is bound to be an uncomfortable time. Don’t base a $2,000 purchase on a 9 month “condition”. =)

I recommend you wait until after you’ve had the baby until buying a new mattress. If your waters break on it, you will really regret it.

Having said that, the best way to buy a mattress is to test them out. Try lying on them in a show room and go from there. Since you spend 1/3 of your life in bed, you want to get one which is right for you.
