It is possible to buy mattresses with holes down the full length, or holes just in one end, or no holes at all. Which is best and why? Why do some have holes?

Don’t bother with the mattresses with holes they are great germ collectors and dust gatherers…i don’t know why they have holes in prob to try and keep them aired out and maybe something to do with keeping the baby’s temp regulated??

First of all, make sure that any mattress you get fits the crib correctly, make sure there are no gaps between the mattress and crib. this is extremely dangerous!
Second, a firm mattress is best for a baby, don’t be afraid to splurge just a little for something of higher quality.
For my daughter, I bought a Therapedic mattress, I definitley recommend it.
