What is the best quality mattress available?
By fthomas | January 29, 2009
My wife and I recently spent $2400 on a new mattress set. It’s supposed to be a top of the line bed; a Simmons Beautyrest Black. It felt great at first, but after not much more than a week it started losing support. I’ve given it some time to make sure it wasn’t just a “breaking-in” period creating an illusion of lack of support. It’s been nearly 3 months now, and the bed is garbage. It’s softer and sagging more than the 4 year old, cheap mattress we had before. The difference is obvious. If I lay in the middle of the bed, which is practically unused, it’s still comfortable and supporting. When I start moving closer to the side where i normally sleep, the difference is VERY obvious. I am less that 180lbs and should not wear out a $2400 mattress in a matter of a few weeks.
I know there have to be better beds out there with good support that will last. Any ideas would be helpfull.

Try a spring free, latex foam mattress.
We got one from Sealy about five years ago and it still sleeps like new. It’s not memory foam it’s just a solid foam mattress, comes in different firmness. It reminds me of sleeping on a big firm couch cushion. ;o)
When we got ours it was guaranteed not to sag more then a half inch in 10 years. A box spring was optional, it could also be placed on plywood which we did.
We absolutely love our bed!!

There are numerous models of the Simmons Beautyrest Black . . if yours has memory foam, it is supposed to conform (as compared to pushback support).
Empower yourself with knowledge.

You spend a third of your life in bed, but that eight hours of sleep is very important. If your sleep is not restful and restorative, the next day will be miserable. It’s to your benefit to give your searching the time it deserves, try a conventional mattress before you try OroMed’s memory foam mattress, this will enable you to compare the two together and allow you to see the amazing results it will bring.
Basically it comes down to this. Let your body decide. If a cheap mattress feels as good as an expensive one, buy it, but be prepared for the aches and pains the next day!
We bought an OroMed Mattress 3 years ago and I have to say that it is the BEST mattress and bed frame we have ever slept on, in fact when we go away I miss my bed terribly, I never struggle to sleep as the mattress is memory foam but not normal memory foam, this has a recess in the mattress also which helps support spine and neck, I have Scoliosis and always had problems sleeping because of my poorly aligned spine, OroMed’s mattress cured this problem for me and I can now sleep on my back, side, front without any problems at all. We have a double bed but they are single mattresses, but due to the memory foam we hardly notice that the mattresses are separate, they mould together. If you want to speak with me direct about this bed package then contact me or you can request a free trial of their bed direct from their website, I hope you can find some comfort from somewhere, like we did
These mattresses are available in the UK and the USA
