Memory Foam Mattress topper?
By fthomas | April 25, 2009
Has anyone tried one of these? I have a lot of back problems, and need a better mattress. I know that the memory foam keeps out dust mites and allergens, which makes me feel better about sleeping on it. But is it worth the 100 bucks to get one? Will it make a difference in the comfort level of the bed? I would rather have the matress itself, but very pricey.

I actually bought a memory foam mattress from Meijer for $400 and I absolutely love it! I had horrible back problems from my regular spring mattress (i’m 26) and now I sleep like a baby. My sister bought her topper 8″ thick from walmart and she also loves hers! If you are going to spend the money I would go with the whole mattress….It takes a little getting used to, but in the long run it is soooo worth every penny! Mine came with a 10 year warranty, buy I can see it lasting way longer than that! I also put a feather bed on top of that and it is like sleeping on a bed of clouds every night!

You’ll be sorry if you get it… It sounds good and the body ready forms to the mattress but… only a few minutes later and you’ll be sweating like there’s no tomorrow…
What it really works (in our family we have tried them “all”), it’s the “Memory Mattress”… That one that with a control you set it how firm or how soft you want the mattress… You could even set it to different settings for the person next to you. They are amazing and I never slept that well since we got it.
-(It is the one that Lindsay Wagner advertises on TV… Call them up. If not satisfied they could even send you the money back when you return it but, you’ll love it… Everyone in my family has it.)-

Got mine from Costco last year, its fantastic, sleep like a log in a cloud. But be warned it alters the fit of fitted sheets, they are to short in depth. You may have to buy the next size up.

I actually sell mattresses and dont get a topper its not worth it go ahead and get a new mattress. Also memory foam is not dust mite free. The only mattress out there that is hypoalerginic is latex. It does the same this as memory foam with out the sinking feeling. And dust mites cannot live in them. If you have back problems this is the way to go.
