Memory foam mattress & slats?
Question by Fred: Memory foam mattress & slats?
I just bought a wooden base(with slats) for my bed.. I already have a memory foam mattress.. Is it ok to use the mattress with the slats? or really should I get plywood or a thing? I’ve been hearing mixed evaluations.. some say its ok and some not..

I have a Tempur-Pedic bed and I would definitely place down a solid piece of wood over these slats! Much better secure than sorry!!

id vote puttin plywood down as you dont want hole in your mattress right? and you dont want you mattress to be damaged as it might go through the slats if its a soft memory foam mattress (:

The wooden foundation you bought is commonly used under memory foam mattresses. Other companies will use box springs for theirs. Plywood wood also is ok since many platform beds are decked using it or something similar. The point is all are valid and correct options.
