It depends on what you want or need.

Some one with a bad back, shouldnt sleep on a water bed, but something that is hard. A person with a normal back can sleep on either one…

Air beds are nice, but if they get a hole in them, they can be a pain to fix..(make sure no one gets into bed with sharp things in thier pockets).

    I wish you well…

    AeroBed Premier Pillowtop

For approximately the same money you could get polyurethane foam components from JC Penney, and not have to be worry about air leaks.
(free shipping code F76WKIT for orders above $75 – good till 10/31/06)

    5″ polyurethane base

    3.5″ polyurethane topper=&PCat=&PCatID=36998&RefPage=ProductList&Sale=&ProdCount=8&RecPtr=&ShowMenu=&TTYP=&ShopBy=0&RefPageName=CategoryAll.aspx&RefCatID=36998&RefDeptID=25436&Page=1&CmCatId=25436|28901|36998|37005

Memory foam or latex toppers would cost a little more.

3 inch 5.3 lb memory foam

3 inch 28 ILD talalay latex

    8 inch velour cover

    wool fleece pad

    contour pillow
